The article is all about why the seas are rising because of global warming it's all about why 100 years water was rising by 1 to 2 millimeters every year.

2. What do you think the author’s purpose for writing this article was?

The purpose of this writing was because he or she wanted to tell everybody to be ready for the rising seas and at any time there might be a flood
